2021
Engine Athletics began in days of the Covid Pandemic, out of Columbia Maryland, a suburb of Washington DC and Baltimore. Its origins are somewhat unconventional for a sports brand. A simple concept of designing sports jerseys for bands and musicians as a way for them to continue to make a living as music festivals and concerts had been shut down. Even when venues began reopening, the ticket sales and pandemic attendance requirements were not enough to sustain a living. As we worked with bands like Ballyhoo, Slightly Stoopid, Tropidelic, and many others, we were proud to help these folks get back on their feet. Engine was born! With a love for hockey, we focused in hard on the scene, developing a brand that would bring pro-quality apparel to the local hockey scene.
2022-24
From 2022-2024 Engine focused primarily on building relationships with our customers and perfecting our brand's quality. During a re-organization, we decided the Engine name should focus entirely on the hockey world. All other sports we specialized in; Basketball, Football and Baseball would be moved to our Engine's new sub-brand 'RIVALS'.

2024 would end up being our best year. Not just in terms of record profits, but the relationships and experiences we were able to build with our partners. As fortunate would have it, we formed partnerships with FDNY & NYPD Hockey, two coveted Semi Pro caliber Teams of their respected departments.

The brand organized multiple tournaments, showcases and events throughout the year as well, and helped raise over $25,000 since our inception in 2021!
As we continue to grow, we look to 2025 with extreme excitement. Engine has now expanded to offering team sets for Gloves, Team Bags and Backpacks, Off-Ice and Fan Apparel. And once again, we will be the official jersey provider for the 2025 NYPD Hockey Club, and the 2026 FDNY Hockey Club, as well as many other professional and college teams that we will be announcing throughout the year!
